Generations!

Where did you first hear about Jesus? Not the mumbo-jumbo folks pass around on the street mind you, but the real deal–the gospel of Jesus Christ? I remember my grandmother telling me some things about it, but since my mother was married to several non-Christian men, they never passed on any real truth to me. The result? I wandered around in God’s garden taking things that didn’t belong to me for about 25 years! It’s not just my father (or my step-father’s) either. With more than 70% of young people in the United States having nothing to do with any church, whole generations of young people are being raised without any real knowledge of what God has done for us. No matter what level of training you’ve received from your parents, it’s time to learn as much as you can so you can do the right thing for the generation that comes behind you!

“He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.” Psalm 78:5-7
